PRIVACY, WITH CARE
Your little moments
stay yours.
This policy explains what information Something Nice handles, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
You can browse, customize virtual treats, and open gifts without creating an account. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
1. Who we are
Something Nice is a virtual mood-and-treat experience provided by North Harbor Capital Group LLC. The products and deliveries shown in the app are virtual; no real-world purchase or delivery takes place.
2. Information we handle
Information you choose to provide
- Journal content: mood choices, notes, sensory reflections, dates, selected virtual items, and their customizations.
- Virtual gifts: recipient and sender names or nicknames, an optional message, and selected virtual items. A gift link remains available for up to 90 days.
- Feedback and support: ratings, messages, the part of the app where feedback was sent, and any contact information you voluntarily include in a support request.
- Optional account information: if you choose Sign in with Apple in the iPhone app, we receive an Apple account identifier and, when Apple provides them, your name and email or private relay email. The website may separately offer Sign in with ChatGPT. We convert the account identifier into a one-way account key so your Journal can sync across devices.
Information created as you use the app
- Usage information: interactions such as sessions, mood selections, products viewed, customizations completed, items added, gifts opened, and animation completion.
- Pseudonymous identifiers: random visitor, session, and device keys that help distinguish visits and connect a guest Journal to one device.
- On-device settings: saved items, daily reminder time, notification preferences, and the device push token are stored locally on your device. The current version does not send the push token to our server.
3. Shared images and notifications
When you choose “Share image,” Something Nice creates the selected Journal image on your device and opens the iOS or Android system share menu. Something Nice does not request access to, read, or upload your photo library.
If you turn on a daily reminder, the schedule is created on your device. You can change or disable it in the app and manage notification permission in your phone’s settings.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide the experience you request, save and sync your Journal, create virtual gift links, respond to support and feedback, keep the service reliable, understand feature usage, and improve Something Nice.
5. When information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help host, secure, authenticate, and operate Something Nice, or when required to comply with law, protect users, or protect the service. These providers may process information only for the services they provide to us.
When you create and share a gift link, anyone with that link can view the gift details you included. Please share gift links thoughtfully.
6. Retention and deletion
Virtual gift links expire after 90 days. Journal entries remain available until you delete them. Apple users can delete their account, revoke its authorization, and delete all synced Journal data directly from the account panel. Local information remains on your device until you remove it, clear app or browser data, or uninstall the app.
Feedback, support messages, and aggregated usage records are retained only as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You may ask us to review or delete information linked to you through our Support page.
7. Your choices
- Use most of Something Nice without signing in.
- Delete individual Journal pages, or delete your account and all synced Journal data from the account panel.
- Turn daily reminders off in the app or withdraw notification permission in your phone’s settings.
- Clear locally stored identifiers and preferences by clearing site/app data or uninstalling the app.
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
8. Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as Something Nice evolves; the updated date below will change when we do.
9. Contact
Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the Something Nice Support page or by email to supportsomethingnice@gmail.com.
